Glass Blowing in Asheville

Last Sunday we took a glass blowing class at the North Carolina Glass Center. Our instructor/artist, Alison Chism, blew me away. Pun intended. Her knowledge and experience were great. More than that, her "oneness" with glass and the way it moves, responds and forms a relationship with the artist was nearly spiritual.

I've put the link to the full-length videos for both Harlan and me creating our glasses. The videos are about 5 minutes long each. They are worth the time to watch the process and to see Alison's style. You create the piece with her assistance. You can pick it up the next day or they can ship it to you.
