Staying Connected

When we got ready to hit the road for the first time, there was one item we insisted on bringing with us.

It's called a Friendship Lamp by Filimin (www.filimin.com). It's a touch lamp but with a modern twist.

Growing up, touch lamps were all the rage. They didn't have switches to turn them on, you simply touched the lamp and it illuminated. Touch it again and it turned off. We thought it was magic.

Now, Filimin has taken the touch lamp to the next level. We have a Filimin lamp that we take with us as we roam and our daughter, Kristen, has a lamp in her home in California.

The lamps are connected via WiFi so that when we touch our lamp, the lamp changes colors, and immediately Kristen's lamp illuminates displaying the same color. That tells her we love her and are thinking about her. When she touches her lamp, the color changes and our lamp displays the same color letting us know she has received our message and is sending her love.

Of all the things we've purchased over the years, the Filimin Friendship Lamp is the best. It allows us to stay connected wherever we roam.
